    Goats!! 😀
How many are milking? I couldn’t keep up with ONE (nubian), no matter what I did with the milk, though my nails were never stronger.
Goats are such escape artists! Hope you are able to reinforce your fencing sufficiently!

3 are milking. But one has a baby who’s nursing, so we don’t really get anything from her. Merriweather, the La Mancha does about 2 quarts a day. Acorn, the nubian, does about 1/2 or 3/4 quart a day.

      ….want some? 🙂

…and the attempts to keep them in the fenced area have been mostly successful. We had an escape a few weeks back and they got into the garden (unfortunately placed very near the current goat area) and then another brief escape about a week ago that didn’t result in any destruction (I was right outside in the shed and had just forgotten to latch the goat gate). The crew has of course expressed interest in everything they shouldn’t, just as goats are genetically inclined to do. They like to reach for branches just outside their reach and prod their heads underneath fencing for grass when they’ve got a great patch at their feet. Antagonizing, but kind creatures. Oh, and also my hands smell great from the udder cream!
